As  a small equine charity we owe a debt of gratitude to some amazing individuals,  companies  and organisations whose donations and grants  help us continue our work in equine rescue and care for the 30 plus horses and ponies we look after here on the farm. Every contribution big or small  is SO gratefully received and truly does make a difference.  This page is dedicated to saying a HUGE THANK YOU!

  • Nisa Store: Thank you to Sue Lewis the Manager of  Nisa in Castle Street, Llandovery SA20 0AN for putting our charity forward to receive a ‘Making A Difference’ donation of £300.00. Raising funds during this economic recession is getting harder all the time so not only does this wonderful donation mean so much to us, the support from a local business is such a fantastic moral boost for our small team.  We cannot thank Sue enough!” (Photo L to R: Lyn James, Sue Lewis and Bethan Matthews) Lluest Horse and Pony Trust - Fundraising

  • Pets at Home’s Support Adoption for Pets scheme (http://www.petsathome.com) We would  like to say a HUGE thank you for awarding us with a fantastic and a much needed grant to renew a lot of our dilapidated fencing.  This has made an enormous difference to us.  We can now use paddocks that had become unsafe  for the horses and ponies and because of the smart new fencing, our visitors  will have the opportunity meet many of our residents especially our adoption ponies.
  • Enormous thanks to the Brecon Beacons Trust (http://www.breconbeaconstrust.org) for awarding us a grant to manage our woodland and create a nature trail and The Green Valleys  (http://www.thegreenvalleys.org) for support and guidance. By managing our woodland and creating a nature trail we hope to provide a beautiful place for our visitors to enjoy as walks from the farm will link to the woods and eventually down to the river. The woods will also provide an outdoor class room for community, special needs and education groups and be an ongoing project that volunteers can come and join by helping us  care for and nurture this very special woodland.

Some are unhandled, many have problems and fears and many have never loaded before. They all need patience and expert handling and transporting.   Susan George of Rockfield Horse Transport has helped us far beyond the call of duty on a number of occasions and often made the impossible, possible.  Susan particularly helps us with our more difficult cases and thanks to her patience and skill the horses and ponies respond and find confidence through Susan to load and travel safely. We are a small charity and we are ever grateful and thankful  to  Susan for her  kindness, support  and  generosity.
