Volunteering

We would not be able to help so many horses and ponies without the support of our wonderful volunteers. If you’d like to help us and do something worthwhile with your spare time we’d love to hear from you.

Have a look at the list below and contact us if you would like to come along and help.

Land Development Helping maintain fencing, ditches, gateways, pasture management plus building maintenance and painting.
Land Development Helping with brush clearing, pathway maintenance,  building and maintaining bridges and broad walks.
Land Development Hedge maintenance and tree planting.
Land Development Gardening and grass cutting.
Yard Work Mucking out, bucket cleaning and poo picking.
Fundraising Organising and co-ordinating Fundraising Events.
Fundraising Baking cakes, handicrafts and needle work for events
Fundraising Assisting at external fundraising events such as agricultural shows, handing out flyers, answering questions about the Trust, helping run a stall, helping to collect at supermarkets etc.
Visitor Days/ Events Assisting at fundraising events/open days on the farm; meeting and greeting visitors; serving refreshments etc
Visitor Days/ Events Assisting with visiting groups on the farm
Tack Shop Cleaning donated tack, updating stock list, manning tack shop when open 
Other General Housekeeping
   

 

We are very sorry, but we can’t accept volunteers under 18 years of age.

Please note –  if you are interested in volunteering on the farm, we are based in a remote location so being a car driver will be essential.
