Thanks So Much Print E-mail

We are very grateful to Debbie Walker for the loan of a quad bike for our use round the farm. This will obviously make life a lot easier for us especially in the winter for getting hay to the herds around the farm and with any other jobs that require the use of a vehicle as it is not possible to use the tractor in the fields for most of the year.

Thanks to Amy Quant, her boyfriend Paul and friends who managed to raise £337 from the Twilight Trek along part of the Pembrokeshire coast and for running the Cardiff Half Marathon the same weekend.  Amy also held a stall at the Milford Haven Junior School craft fair with her sister Katherine and have raised so far £90 selling little Christmas stockings that they knitted.

Carole Lane and friends from Wotton under Edge, in Gloucestershire raised £405 providing refreshments at the towns annual Charities Fayre. Thanks to the washer ups, the cooks, servers, waitresses and all who gave general support.

The Olchfa School in Swansea have donated £283 proceeds from a sponsored walk.  Thank you so much to everyone concerned for this welcome help towards our winter feed bills.

We also thank our supporters for staying with us, during the ''off the air time''. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated through the Charity Choice web-site, and sent in donations in response to our spring newsletter. Your support is greatly appreciated.

A small but enthusiastic crowd attended the concert on the 22nd November in aid of the Trust. Fronted by Moontaigue, a family band and including other local artists, there was a complete range of music from rock to classical and the audience really showed their appreciation. A raffle also attracted a lot of attention and the end result was a donation of just over £250 for the Trust. We would like to give grateful thanks to Kathleen Montague, the organiser, her family band Moontaigue for headlining the event and also to Bryony, Chloe, Gail and Eddie for their support.

Grateful thanks is due to Debby Walker and Will Morgan for donating a large amount of fencing to the Trust. Debby and Will donated enough fencing and the posts to go with it to enable us to fence off most of a field to allow the horses to graze there safely. Many thanks to both of them.

Grateful thanks is due to Ann Lewis of Tilley Frazer Equestrian who held an open evening at the Barn Inn and Restaurant near Swansea on Thursday the 18th September. It was a lovely, fun evening and we were made very welcome by Ann and her friends, many of whom were acquainted with the Trust several years ago. We hope that they will renew their acquaintance with us soon and come and visit us at the Trust in the near future.

Grateful thanks is due to the Landovery Carnvial Committee for a very welcome donation of £100 that Adrian and Pauline collected at a ceremony Tuesday 16th September. As you may recall, the May Bank Holiday Monday Llandovery Carnival took place in some apalling weather conditions, there were very wet ponies as well as the other carnival participants. It is a credit to the people of Llandovery that so much money was raised that we were able to be recipients of their kind donation.

Grateful thanks are more than due to the Montaigue family who are stauch supporters of the Trust providing voluntary help and through many fund raising activities, the latest being a Tai 'chi workshop.
