Why not help make a difference to a rescue pony’s life and ‘Sponsor a Pony’ as a birthday, anniversary or Christmas present or simply as a treat for yourself. Sponsoring one of our rescues will help raise vital funds towards the rehabilitation and care of up to 30 horses and ponies on the farm.

Sponsoring a pony costs just £20.00 a year and you will receive a certificate, photo of your pony, a rosette and a badge. Take a look at our current sponsor ponies just waiting to hear from you!

Llwyd is a very sweet man in his early teens. He came to us in 2006 when his owner could no longer meet his needs. He has been in a home as a child’s pony for about 8 years but now suffers from arthritis and Cushings disease that require medication for the rest of his life.

Kali is a year old. She arrived at the Trust with her mother and older sister in January 2017 after they were found wandering the streets of Caerphilly. Initially she was very wary and aggressive towards people but she has made great progress and plays with her friend Maple.

Diplomat was rescued in February 2014 along with 6 other ponies. They were part of a large hill gather in South Wales. Diplomat and his herd were abandoned on the hill along with other horses and ponies. When he arrived he was underweight with a large worm burden. We also found Diplomat to be very nervous of us, over time he has improved but still does not trust humans completely. Diplomat will remain on the sponsorship scheme until he has found a suitable load home.

Seren

Seren is a bright rising 6-year-old mare standing at 12.2hh. She is very nervous but is currently learning the basics. In July 2012 Seren found herself in a local pound due to be put to sleep. We had a call from a lovely lady who told us about her. Shortly after we went and picked her up along with 4 other ponies.

 Linus

Linus is a handsome 5yo Traditional Cob gelding. He arrived at Lluest in January 2012 along with 5 others. They had been fly grazing in the South Wales area. Linus has a fantastic temperament which is why we have decided to keep him for educational purposes and to welcome any new rescues, show them the ropes and to help settle them in. Linus also takes part in displays at Lluest, so why not come and see him in action.

Maple was born at the Trust in April 2017 to rescue mare Lyra who was part of a 70-horse rescue, three of which came to Lluest. Maple is a typical fun loving foal and loves nothing more than playing with her best friend Kali.

If you sponsor one of our horses or ponies you will be able to come and visit them on Open Day and at other times by arrangement. Sponsorship helps us raise funds to continue our work rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing horses and ponies who are the victims of neglect, cruelty and starvation.
