Thank You Sarah Gray

Sarah Gray's Christmas Fayre held at Lluest on behalf of Lluest Horse and Pony Trust on the 26th November raised an incredible £5,003.15!!!!!! This would not have been possible without a super human effort from Sarah who is still dropping off auction items and running round for the Trust. Weeks of planning and sleepless nights turned the Christmas Fayre in to a truly wonderful day.
Without Sarah, this amazing fund raising event would never have happened, we are just too understaffed to attempt anything so ambitious. At the hardest time of year Shara's event has raised approximately one months running costs - the amount it takes to rescue and care for the 40 horses and ponies on the farm in an economy with ever rising costs. Needless to say the Trust nor I will never be able to thank Sarah enough. As most of you know this is not all Sarah has done. With the Nat West Community bid, plus her fund-raising stall in the summer Sarah has raised close on £12,000 for Lluest!!!!! If that was not enough Sarah has very kindly taken on the Trust adoptions and re vamped them and re launched the membership scheme. Sarah now runs both these areas on behalf of the Trust. Sarah - on behalf of the horses and ponies at the Trust and those we will further be able to help because of you. Thank you.

Photos and a list of everyone else who helped, donated and supported the Christmas Fayre will be posted soon.

Open Day Postponed

Open Day Postponed

Unfortunately we have had to make the very hard decision to postpone our next open on the September 18th

The Raffle will still be drawn on this date and winners will be contacted.

Due to the economic climate we have had a number of loan ponies  returned to us. We are  also currently  inundated with calls for help from distressed owners who can no longer afford their animals and sadly we are receiving a never ending stream of calls about horses and ponies in trouble -  and we do all we can to help. Because of the unprecedented work load we are encountering during this very difficult and challenging time we believe our attention must be focused on the animals. Open days require a lot of work and we believe our first priority must be to the horses in ponies in our care and those reported to us who need help.

Open days usually help us raise about £2000.00 to £3000.00 - funds we desperately need to continue our work especially as we head into winter and escalating costs.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! If you can do any fund raising on our behalf we would be so grateful! Lluest has always had a very special relationship with its loyal supporters and we need you more than ever! Coffee mornings, sponsored events, perhaps you can ask your local schools or clubs to be  involved? We also have envelopes we can give to you  to send off your used ink cartridges and old mobile phones to a company who will send us a donation in return. Another way you can help is if you have any bits of  broken gold jewellery you no longer want. If you would like to send it to us we can also turn it into money for the horses and ponies. Every penny you raise WILL make a difference!

Barbara Bell one of our wonderful volunteers has very kindly offered to be our fund raising coordinator. Barbara will be your point of contact and we will also do all we can to help support your event.

Because of Barbara’s help we are now able to plan and  run smaller events ranging from talks, demonstrations and fun get-togethers. Watch this space! If you have an idea for an event please contact Barbara on 01639 631343

If you would like to be kept informed of events please join us on Face Book http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=53633783162&ref=ts  to be kept regularly up dated or send us your email address to go on our mailing list to receive mail shots.

Visitors are welcome at the trust but because we are so busy please make an appointment so a member of staff can be available to show you round.

Your support and help is truly appreciated.

Thank you from everyone at Lluest

There are no words to describe how overwhelmed I am after our open day. We raised £2083.69!

The support from visitors, neighbours, friends, family and volunteers was amazing. Our two staff worked incredibly hard, Julia especially went far beyond the call of duty giving up her days off and working late in to the evenings with me to get everything ready. I also want to thank the community project helpers Jeff, Phil, Nathen and Guy, who did a huge amount to help us get the farm ready for the day and also on the day. I also want to thank everyone who came and gave donations over and above taking part in the day.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it such a success -  we could not have done it without you!
