THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING
A lovely gift idea - why not give a year's adoption as a Birthday, Aniversary or Christmas present.
Our 'adoption' scheme is a way of helping to support some of the horses and ponies who will stay at the farm for the rest of their lives, either because they are very elderly, or have on going medical conditions.
If you cannot have a pony of your own our adoption scheme means you can come and visit your specially chosen pony and perhaps give him or her a brush.
How about adopting one of our ponies for someone special? Adopting a pony is a lovely, unique gift for birthdays and Christmas.
To adopt a pony costs £15.00 per pony per year.

Snowball is one of our adoption ponies

|
| Snowball is a miniture Shetland in his early teens. This little darling came in as a chronic neglect case. His body condition was not too bad but his poor little feet were badly deformed. He was unhandled and very nervous and his fate was uncertain. It is believed Snowball (renamed by the staff ) had been kept in a shed for 10 years. Because Snowball will need so much care to keep him sound he will remain at the Trust for the rest of his life. To read his full story please read our Appeals page. |

The Lovely Gwilym, born in 1991 was rescued from a sale as a foal and was in such poor condition he had to live in the farmhouse to keep him warm during his first winter.
Gwilym has never been able to grow a proper coat, mane or tail and is a firm favourite at Lluest.

 Min
|
Min born in 1993 is totally blind due to head trauma. Despite her disability Min lives with other sighted horses and does very well. Her hearing is very acute and you can see her tilt her head to the ground listening to the others. Her constant companion is Brandy. Brandy wears a bell on her head collar so Min always knows where she is. Brandy, born in 1981 is a beautiful, kind mare who is starting to feel the effects of old age and can be a little stiff in her back legs. never the less, these two mares are enough to melt your heart.

 Brandy

Zorro arrived in 2006. He had been wandering around the Porthcawl area as a stray. Zorro was a stallion when he came in and was subsequently gelded. He may look cute being a spotted Falabella, but no one has told him he is small - Zorro totally belives he is 17hh! He is bright as a button and does Clicker Training demonstrations on our education courses.
